Organizers

Jens Meixner

Organization & Marketing

Jens started his career in analytical chemistry in 2014 as a PhD student at Aalen University and the University of Tübingen working on multidimensional CE and CE-MS for biopharmaceutical analysis, with an emphasis on cIEF-based separation systems. Since 2017, he is with Agilent Technologies as a global product manager currently responsible for the 1260 Inf. II HPLC portfolio, as well as for CE and CE-MS, including the 7100 CE instrument.

Jennifer Römer

 Scientific Committee & Organization

Jenni started her path in analytical chemistry in 2016 with her master thesis at Uppsala University in Sweden. Afterwards, she continued as a PhD student at Aalen University and the University of Regensburg. Here, she worked on multidimensional CE and CE-MS for biopharmaceutical analysis, with a particular focus on SDS-based size separation systems. Since 2020, she is working as an expert for mass spectrometric protein characterization at Rentschler Biopharma SE.

Kevin Jooß

Scientific Committee

Kevin earned his PhD in Analytical Chemistry in the research group of Prof. Christian Neusüß at Aalen University in collaboration with the Technical University of Munich, developing 2D CE-MS approaches. Afterwards, he moved to the United States and joined Neil Kelleher’s group at Northwestern University, combining CE separation methods with state-of-the-art top-down mass spectrometry (TDMS). Since April 2023, he is an assistant professor at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. His research is focused on intact protein analysis by CE-MS under denatured and native conditions in the context of biopharmaceutical analysis as well as clinically/biologically relevant protein targets.

Christian Neusüß & Team

Scientific Committee & Local Organization

Christian started his analytical career with earning his PhD in Leipzig. Afterwards, he was working at Bruker Daltonics for 5 years, before being appointed as Professor for Analytical Chemistry at Aalen University in 2006. Since 2009, he is the dean for the Master program Analytical and Bioanalytical Chemistry at Aalen University. His research is mainly focused on CE-MS technology and methodology development for the characterization of proteins and small molecules in the clinical and biopharmaceutical context.
